Configuring Eudora
- Start Eudora (* Please note
that if starting the program for the first time you will be presented
with a more user friendly interface, in that case go straight
to step 3 and follow on, * *when you get to
the IMAP location Prefix , please leave blank).
- Go to Tools and select Options.

- Enter your Name.
- Enter your Rutgers email address: @andromeda.rutgers.edu or @pegasus.rutgers.edu
- For Mail server (incoming) insert andromeda.rutgers.edu or pegasus.rutgers.edu for
students
- Input your User Name in the User Name text
field
- Set the SMTP server(outgoing) as andromeda.rutgers.edu or pegasus.rutgers.edu for
students
- Check the Allow Authentication check box.

- Select the ‘Checking Mail’ option
from the menu on the left hand side
- If you want to save your password please select the Save
password checkbox
- Under Secure Sockets when Receiving please
select If Available, STARTLS

- Please click the Incoming Mail option and
select IMAP as show below

13. Select Sending Mail.
14. Please Make sure that the Allow authentication, immediate
send and send on check check boxes are checked
15. In the Secure Sockets when Sending drop down
menu please select If Available, STARTTLS.
16. Click Ok.
