Configuring OS X Mail with SSH

To access the OS X Mail client, double click “Mail” in the “Applications” Folder If Mail has not been used before, a “helper” such as the one below may appear



Make certain to choose “IMAP” in the “Account Type” Fill out the fields prompted and click “Continue” This brings you to the following window:




In this window, under “User Name:” put in your andromeda username Under “Password:” put in your andromeda password and click continue This brings you to this page:




At this point, you don’t have to check “Use Authentication,” but this is highly recommended if you are sharing your computer. After you’re done with this page, click “Continue” Once you’re done, a summary page will be displayed, showing you your settings:




SSL is automatically on, click continue to complete the process.
