Configuring Outlook 2003

When you first open your outlook application, find the “Tools” drop down menu and select “Email Accounts.”

In the Window that opens, and under the subtitle “E-mail,” select the option “Add a new e-mail account”

Then click “Next”

In the Window that opens up, “Server Type,” select “IMAP”

Then click “Next”

In the next window that opens “Internet E-mail Settings (IMAP),” complete all fields (username should be typed in all lowercase letters)

Then click on “More Settings”

In the window that opens up, select the “Advanced” tab and check off “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” both for the “Incoming Server (IMAP):” and “Outgoing Server (SMTP):”

Click “OK”

This brings you back to the “Internet E-mail Settings (IMAP)” window

Click “Next”

And then “Finish”

This will complete your outlook configuration and outlook may need to be restarted in order to work properly.
